18b. Over the weekend the downstairs got hot. The downstairs unit wasn't working. I soon discovered that an EJ's technician had cut off a copper drain line coming out of the side of the house and had crimped it shut. Unable to pump the drain water out, the unit refused to come on. Once I uncrimped the line it came back on. I had to argue with the technicians and convince them that they had broken my downstairs unit. Eventually on Monday one came out and "repaired" the line by attaching a couple of additional feet of copper tube with some silicone caulk. Derek and Dominic attended the Chess Camp All Day Intensive.


20bb. Dominic attended Chess Camp Beyond Basics on Wednesday. Kevin installed a gas pipe for our new stove.




22. On Friday we went shopping for a new gas range, microwave, and refrigerator. We also took the boys to White Water Bay.


25b. Derek went to Intermediate Chess Camp Monday through Thursday.
26b. I managed to checkmate Derek on Tuesday, so I took a picture in case it's the last time.

27. Kevin installed the new microwave and range on Wednesday.

29x. We bought school supplies on Friday in preparation for the impending new school year.
30b. On Saturday night Junie and I saw Fiddler on the Roof at the Civic Center Music Hall.
